Chasing Mavericks

Life is like surfing, we need to face each wave that came in to our lives, and if you are lucky enough you could ride on that wave and execute a beautiful ride.
Was able to try surfing before when we went to Baler in Aurora to have some vacation with my friends. It was really hard at first but good thing we have trainers that help us ride our surfboards. It was tiring yet once you are on the top of the board you will never stop and will ask for more.
I watched this movie Chasing Mavericks the stories revolved around the life of a Jay who loves to surf. Me since I already tried it somehow I could relate with the movie. lol!!!
You’ll love the movie since it was based on true story of Jay Moriarity. It was a heart-warming story. It would teach us good lessons in life. Jay was able to ride Mavericks but It so saddening that Jay died at a very young age of 22 of drowning in Maldives.

Plot:

CHASING MAVERICKS is the inspirational true story of real life surfing phenom Jay Moriarity (played by newcomer Jonny Weston). When 15 year old Jay discovers that the mythic Mavericks surf break, one of the biggest waves on Earth, is not only real, but exists just miles from his Santa Cruz home, he enlists the help of local legend Frosty Hesson (played by Gerard Butler) to train him to survive it. As Jay and Frosty embark on their quest to accomplish the impossible, they form a unique friendship that transforms both their lives, and their quest to tame Mavericks becomes about far more than surfing.
